My new painting called (Un)American Rebellion. Some background… I never understood why ppl get so upset/angry about situations that have nothing to do with them, which is why ppl’s reactions to the whole Rihanna/CB situation intrigues me. As a play on the classic “American Gothic”, I painted these two. But the pitchfork in this piece actually represents them/him taking control since angry mobs are usually characterized as carrying pitchforks & torches. The name “(Un)American Rebellion”, specifically the un-American part is a reference to the common practice (most recently politicians) nowadays to refer to just about anything unpopular or disagreed with as such. And the ‘Rebellion’ because well…they just don’t give a fxck. LOL :)  Instagram: @warmitupkrys
